About this activity

Vegan, gluten-free and halal guests join the same class at the same price, with ingredients swapped rather than left out.

Each class opens with a ramen quiz on the history of ramen and how it got its name, added because guests asked to learn the story behind the bowl.

Our recipe is rooted in 40+ years of Kyoto ramen-making: Ramen Factory opened in 2017 as the ramen school of Menbaka, a Kyoto ramen shop founded in 1984.

  • Ramen Factory Kyoto is on the basement floor (B1). Take the staircase on the right side of the Fresco supermarket down to the basement. Address: 447-14-B1, Kajii-cho, Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto 5 minutes' walk from Demachiyanagi Station (Keihan and Eizan lines).
