Eat where Baku eats. On this 3-hour walking tour, your local guide takes you to the street food spots that people in Baku love, away from the tourist traps, and tells you the story behind every bite. This is more than a tasting. It is a way to understand the city through its food, its history and its everyday life.
You will try six Baku favorites: Azerbaijani-style shaurma, perashki and qutab, döner, kebab wraps and tantuni. At the end, you will relax with a glass of tea and Azerbaijani pakhlava, a sweet finish to the tour. Your guide explains where each dish comes from, how it is made, and why locals love it.
Between tastings, you walk through Nizami Street and the 28 May area, two lively parts of the city. You get food and sightseeing in one tour and you see Baku the way locals experience it.
We have done all the planning and selected the vendors ourselves, so you do not need to search for good places or wonder what to order. Just show up hungry, wear comfortable shoes, and enjoy.
