Meeting and pickup

  • Meet at Gigi's Bakery, which is at the corner of 4th Avenue and 87th Street. The meeting place is NOT in front of the subway station. Meeting point is a 60-70 minute ride from Midtown or 45 minutes from Downtown. It is not advisable to take a taxi/Uber. This may take a very long time (60+ minutes).

  • Travelers should have a high level of physical fitness
  • Total walking distance: approx. 3 miles / 4.5 kilometers.
  • Not recommended for children, young teens or babies
  • The weather gets very cold (approximately 4 to -4 Celsius, or 25 to 40 Fahrenheit). You will be exposed to the weather for up to 3 hours
  • The meeting place for this tour is designed for arrival by subway. The subway is located far from the lights. So we meet near the subway, then we walk about 15 minutes to reach the lights
  • If you are driving to the tour in your own vehicle, please contact us more than 48 hours in advance so we can provide you with parking information
  • This tour includes a large amount of walking at fast speed. Do not bring people that walk slowly, as they will struggle to keep up with other members of the group who walk more quickly
  • The lights are 100% open to the public - anybody can go on their own for free. Our guided tour just shows the best houses while providing insight & history. There is nothing exclusive to us nor to any other company
  • Not recommended For the following types of people: babies, children, handicapped, elderly, slow-walkers
