About this activity

Exciting flight experience to discover the volcano Etna and its natural wonders with take-off from the private helipad of Fiumefreddo di Sicilia. Maximum weight per passenger: 105 kg. Tour includes shuttle service with pick-up by car from Taormina / Giardini Naxos, a welcome drink/coffee and safety briefings with experienced pilots. Flying by helicopter over Mount Etna means embracing summit craters, recent flows and the gigantic Valle del Bove at a glance. It is the most spectacular and safest way to read the “breath” of the volcano and understand how much its continuous eruptions shape the landscape. Highlights: Summit craters (Bocca Nuova, Voragine, SE, NE) and their morphological variations after eruption, Valle del Bove and the great collapse scars, Bottoniere and recent lava fields, 360° panoramas of eastern Sicily and the Aeolian Islands.

  • How are seats allocated in the helicopter? The assigned seats depend on the weight and height of the passengers to maintain the balance of the helicopter.
