About this activity

There’s no other hike near Denver where your trail companions are rescue goats. Follow the goats through the red rock landscape of Matthews/Winters Park, passing the remains of a Gold Rush settlement and one of Colorado’s oldest cemeteries at whatever pace the herd feels like setting.

It’s scenic, unhurried, and gives back. Every hike supports the animals at Molly’s Menagerie, local trail preservation, and Native students.

Meeting and pickup

  • Meet at the picnic tables across from the restrooms at the trailhead. Look for the goats!
