About this activity

This half-day walking tour covers the best of our full-day Food & Neighborhood Tour of Palermo Viejo in about half the time. Choose the start that fits your day: 10:30 am, 12:30 pm or 4:30 pm. You’ll eat at family-run grills and neighborhood shops, walk through Palermo’s plazas and past its street art, and hear how the area grew from anarchist bakers and immigrant families into today’s bohemian neighborhood. The menu changes with the start time. All the food and drink consumed on the tour is included. Small groups of up to 8.

What's included

Meeting and pickup

(4:30 pm Evening Delights) The evening tour starts here with award-winning alfajores at a chocolatier. We then walk to a neighborhood grill for a choripán, Argentina’s classic grilled chorizo sandwich, and end with empanadas, provoleta and steak at a traditional parrilla.
(12:30 pm Midday Flavors) The midday tour starts here with a traditional Argentine steak lunch at the grill. Afterward we explore Palermo’s plazas and street art, and finish with gelato at Antiche Tentazioni.
10:30 am Morning Escape: The morning tour starts here with coffee or tea and medialunas, a classic porteño breakfast. From here we walk through Palermo Viejo to the Jardín Botánico, then sit down to a steak lunch at a hidden parrilla. The tour finishes with artisan chocolates at Rústico Chocolate.
