Embark on a full-day guided tour to Hiroshima and Miyajima, two of Japan’s most iconic destinations. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Itsukushima Shrine, famous for its floating torii gate, and the Atomic Bomb Dome, a symbol of peace. Enjoy a scenic ferry ride across the Seto Inland Sea and stroll through Miyajima’s charming shopping street, where wild deer roam freely. Lunch is not included, giving you the freedom to savor local specialties like oysters and okonomiyaki. At the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, gain deep insight into the city’s post-war history and the importance of peace. Travel comfortably in a fully air-conditioned and heated bus, accompanied by a licensed English-speaking guide. Select your preferred Shinkansen experience with either Ordinary Class or First-Class Green Car seating.

Meeting and pickup

  • Meet our staff holding a JTB Sunrise Tours sign near the elevator hall on Hotel Granvia Osaka 1F. They will escort you to the Shin-Osaka Station Shinkansen platform via public transport.

  • This tour does not include meal charges for lunch. Please eat lunch on your own at Miyajima (not included)
  • The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations
  • Seats may not be designated. Specific seats cannot be requested
  • In general, JR West Miyajima Ferry will be used on the round trip between Miyajimaguchi and Miyajima, but if it is not operating, Miyajima Matsudai Kisen will be used
  • The JR West Miyajima Ferry route from Miyajimaguchi to Miyajima will be the Otorii ferry route, which gets closest to the large torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine. Depending on circumstances such as weather and high tide, please note that the Otorii ferry route may not be possible
  • The National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter will wait for you at Hiroshima Station and guide you during sightseeing at Hiroshima and Miyajima
  • An assistant will lead you when heading to Hiroshima from the meet-up at Hotel Granvia Osaka to the Shinkansen boarding platform at Shin-Osaka Station, and when returning from Shin-Osaka Station to Osaka Station. There is no accompanying assistant while on board the Shinkansen
  • Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but will not be provided with bus and Shinkansen seats. If bus and Shinkansen seats are required, please make a booking under the child rate
  • Depending on the number of tour participants, transportation to be used may be other than a large bus (mid-size bus, small bus), a hired car, a taxi, or train on some parts of the tour
  • Parental permission in writing is necessary for all tour participants under the age of eighteen. Any participant under the age of fifteen or not yet enrolled in middle school must be joined by a parent or guardian on the tour
