About this activity

Welcome to one of Europe's largest and most vibrant castles. The castle is HM the King's official residence and essential parts of the monarchy's representation take place here, while large parts of the castle are open all year round. Located in Gamla Stan or The Old Town, The Royal Palace of Stockholm has more than 1,400 rooms, 11 floors, and only 1 balcony. The Palace is also the largest official Royal residence in Europe, even larger than Buckingham Palace in London.

There are many attractions here - the Treasury with the royal regalia, Museum Three Crowns about the castle's medieval history, and not least the Representation floors with the pompous parade rooms. During the summer months, Gustav III's antiquities museum and the Castle Church are also open. The changing of the guards is popular with visitors, as is the Slottsboden shop.

Meeting and pickup

  • We will meet at The Obelisk at Slottsbacken located at the southern part of the Palace which faces an uphill cobblestoned street. You will see the Stockholm's Cathedral on the top. After 10 minutes of waiting it will be consider a No-Show and there will be no refunds.
