This is more than a brewery walk. With a local sake expert guide, visit three or more breweries and taste a carefully selected range of sake while learning how rice, water, fermentation, and brewing methods shape each flavor.

Discover the true taste of Japanese sake in Nada Gogo—Japan’s most celebrated sake-brewing region and the heart of Kobe’s sake culture.

Through clear explanations and guided tastings, you will begin to recognize the differences between sake styles, understand your own preferences, and learn how to choose and enjoy sake with greater confidence throughout the rest of your trip in Japan.

Your guide will also share local stories and insights that are difficult to discover by visiting the breweries on your own. The experience is friendly, relaxed, and easy to follow, whether you are completely new to sake or already an enthusiast.

During Japan’s hot summer season, we use a shorter and more comfortable route while keeping the experience rich in tastings and discovery.

Meeting and pickup

  • Meet your guide outside the ticket gate of ISHIYAGAWA Station, Hanshin Line. Your guide will be wearing a Kampai Sake Tours name tag.

  • The tour involves approximately 4 km (2.5 miles) of walking. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
  • If you intend to spit during the tasting for professional evaluation practices, please contact us in advance
  • Guests under 20 cannot drink alcohol under Japanese law. They may join the tour, but please let us know in advance if any guests under 20 will be attending, including their ages and whether you will be bringing a stroller.
  • Sake breweries are subject to change due to regular closing days or weather conditions. If this happens, we will arrange carefully selected alternative stops so that you can still enjoy a wonderful sake experience.
