Hero or villain? In Lucha Libre, you'll have to choose a side.

Start at a mezcalería near the Historic Center with a tasting of 5 artisanal mezcals from southern Mexico (or a non-alcoholic cacao drink) and guacamole.

Then walk to Arena México, the "Cathedral of Lucha Libre," learning the rules, rivalries and the técnicos (heroes) vs. rudos (villains). Inside, sit together facing the ring for 2 hours of live action. Pick your favorite luchador, cheer loud and take home your own mask! About 4 hours, mostly in English.

Meeting and pickup

  • Just in the corner of Dr. Mora Street & Cristobal Colon Street. This is just 100 meters walking from Hilton Reforma Hotel. Look for the white umbrellas from “Mexico a Pie Walking Tours” guides. Please provide a valid cellphone number. Tuesdays - 5:30pm / Fridays - 6:30pm / Sundays - 3:00pm.

  • Public transportation options are available nearby
  • Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • We will contact you before the tour to confirm the name of your guide. Please provide a valid phone number to text you this information.
  • Minimum drinking age is 18 years
  • Minimum age is 3
  • May be operated by a multi-lingual guide
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Seats are assigned by the box office and will not be known in advance of the performance date
  • Types of tickets available: Adult (+18yo) / Non-alcohol adults or youth (7-17yo) / child (3--6)
  • Comfortable walking shoes are recommended
  • Moderate Amount of Walking: Travelers should know we walk up to 1 mile to arrive to Arena Mexico.
  • It is not a private tour/experience.
