About this activity

This guided walk offers an excellent opportunity to explore one of the most vibrant and biodiverse areas of the reserve along the "Corazón del Bosque" (Heart of the Forest) trail. Accompanied by a specialized naturalist guide, you will discover a unique ecosystem that researchers consider a true natural laboratory teeming with extraordinary biodiversity.

During the tour, your guide will share fascinating information about the cloud forest and help you spot iconic species—such as the Emerald Toucanet, the majestic Resplendent Quetzal, and, with any luck, spider monkeys—while you enjoy breathtaking views of the Monteverde mountains.

The Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve protects over 5,000 hectares of tropical forest, encompassing both primary and secondary forest areas. This natural sanctuary is home to numerous unique species that you can discover during a guided tour with an expert naturalist.
