About this activity

From Catalonia’s holy mountain to its finest sparkling wine, this full-day small-group tour for up to eight people combines spirituality, nature and wine, with hotel pick-up and drop-off. Start at Montserrat, the “serrated mountain” whose rounded rock pinnacles rise above the Catalan plain and where a Benedictine community has lived for almost 1,000 years. Explore the monastery clinging to the cliffs, then follow your guide on an easy walk to one of the natural park’s best viewpoints over the valleys below.

In the afternoon, head down to the Penedès, Catalonia’s great wine region, to visit a family winery surrounded by vineyards. Walk through its vineyards and cellars with your guide, learn how cava is made the traditional way, from the grape to the bottle, and finish with a tasting of its sparkling wines.
