About this activity

The closest environmentally friendly hiking spot in Accra is Shai Hills Reserve, and it's the great for nature lovers. Rock climbing, nature walks, game viewing, and bird watching are popular pastimes. Those who are unable to walk or hike long distances can choose to rent a car and drive through the safari area.

Ostriches, antelopes, bats, birds (like the green turaco, violet turaco, Paradise Flycatcher, red-billed horn-bill, yellow-fronted tinker bird, and red-necked buzzard), baboons, cats, duiker, guinea fowls, kobs, green monkeys, monitor lizards, and zebras are just a few of the nearly dozens of primary animal species that exist.
