About this activity

Our local guide will introduce you to Turin's role in Italian identity and its culinary heritage shaped by 800 years of Savoyard rule. The tour begins at a historic café where you'll enjoy Bicerin, a traditional chocolate drink still loved in 19th-century cafés. As you visit key landmarks, you'll discover the city's history.

Next, you will move on to a cozy place, where you will have a lesson about fine chocolate, with exquisite dark chocolate made from just 10% of the world's finest cocoa, all 100% organic and “bean to bar.” You will then sample traditional chocolates like Gianduiotto and Cremino. Gianduiotto, made from finely ground hazelnuts and chocolate, has a rich history dating back to the 19th century when cocoa was scarce.

Then, you will enjoy a wine tasting featuring two iconic Piedmontese wines, paired with an organic meat and cheese platter. Your guide will teach you about the aromas and nuances of each wine for a professional tasting experience.

Meeting and pickup

  • We kindly ask people to arrive 10 minutes earlier to the meeting point. Enter the bistrot and ask the staff for the food guide. Please let the guide know if you have any allergies or dietary requirements.

  • This tour also offers vegetarian and lactose free alternatives. Just let your local guide know at the beginning of the tour. The “menu” will be adapted for you.
  • Only adults (18 years old and above) are allowed to drink wine and any other alcoholic beverages. Minor travelers (below 18 years old) will be served non-alcoholic drinks.
  • If you want to book private parties or bachelor/bachelorette parties, you can do so by contacting us.
  • Note that part of this experience will be held like a workshop and the venue will have air conditioned in summer time.
  • Proficiency or understanding in the booked language is requested to follow through the class.
