Your guide meets you at Javel Métro (Line 10) and travels with you on the RER C - 30-35 minutes that aren't dead time, as they set the scene: the politics, mythology and audacity of what Louis XIV built.

With your timed pre-booked tickets, step straight into the Palace for a 90-minute tour through the Royal Chapel, King's Grand Apartment, Hall of Mirrors, and Queen's Apartments - each room given the context it deserves.

Then head to the terrace for a guided intro to the Gardens - Le Nôtre's masterplan, the Grand Canal, the Fountain Basins and the Sun King's symbolism. Your guide then orients you for independent exploration: routes to the Trianons and how to get back to Paris.
