Photography for personal use without flash is fine in most of the permanent collection, but tripods, selfie sticks and video aren't permitted.
There is no cloakroom or left-luggage storage, and bulky bags, suitcases, scooters and similar items cannot be brought inside (the entrance and exit are at different locations), so travel light.
The museum and apartments are wheelchair accessible, with lift and ramp access throughout.
From 6 October to 18 November, the final phase of the Sisi Museum’s refurbishment will take place. The museum section of the Sisi Museum will be closed during this period. However, the authentic living quarters continue to offer a fascinating insight into the lives of Franz Joseph and Elisabeth at the imperial court.
Price of the entry ticket has been reduced by Euro 5 for the same duration of time 6 October to 18 November
